Online Now: What You Didn’t Know About Dementia Care

With dementia affecting so many millions of Americans, the Training Partnership went to work creating two new Online Continuing Education courses to enhance your understanding of the experiences of people living with dementia and ways that you can improve your role as a Home Care Aide in Consumer-centered care. The two new courses are listed below:

image002TITLE: Consumer-Centered Care for People with Dementia

Course Description: This course will introduce Home Care Aides to the condition of dementia, its effect on the daily life of Consumers, and to describe how to provide Consumer-centered care.

 

image003TITLE: Dementia and Personal Care

Course Description: The Purpose of this course is to introduce HCAs to personal care when Consumers have dementia, and to describe how to use a Consumer-centered approach to care.
