Basic Training 30
Basic Training 30 is required training for Parent Provider Non-DDA, Limited Service and Adult Child Provider.
You can complete all 30 hours of your training online. Learn how to enroll and complete your training below.
Your Training Deadline
Washington state extended the deadline for caregiver training requirements because of COVID-19 impacts. The Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) set a new deadline based on your hire date.
If you do not finish your required training by your deadline, you will no longer be able to continue working as a paid caregiver.

How to Access Your Online Account
You will receive an email with more information on how to enroll and complete your training. This email will include your username, password and enrollment instructions.

Basic Training 30 is a 30-hour self-paced, mostly online only course. This includes:
- A 3 and a half hour in-person Skills Lab class.
- 27 hours of online courses.
After you are enrolled, you can begin your online courses at any time.
This course is currently offered in English, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, Russian and Vietnamese.
