Health Plan Transparency
Understanding your health costs
Starting July 1, 2022, your health insurance carrier is required by the Transparency in Coverage Rule to provide cost information about covered health services. Health plan price transparency will help you understand the cost of a covered item or service before getting care.
How to estimate costs
Use these online price calculator tools to learn what you might pay for in- and out-of-network items and services. You will need to log into your account using your member ID (on your health insurance card).
Find a Doctor
Use the links below to find a doctor (also called ‘provider’) covered by your health plan. These links will be updated every 90 days by the health plan carrier.
If you have questions or want more information about a doctor (or ‘provider’), please contact your health plan carrier.
Machine-readable Files
As part of the Transparency in Coverage Rule, Kaiser Permanente and Aetna have also provided machine-readable files that explain the cost of covered items and services. These files are not intended for you to read, but are here for reference.
