Earn CE Credits at LGBTQ Elder Conference

Individual providers are invited to attend the 2016 Fabulous Aging Elder Conference, a conference intended for caregivers and providers providing person-centered care to LGBTQ individuals.

IPs who attend would receive 8 hours of Continuing Education credits and a certificate of completed training. The $25 fee would be waived for participating IPs.

The conference takes place on Monday, Oct. 10, from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., in Tukwila, Wash.

The theme for this year’s LGBTQ Elder Conference is, “Listening. Respecting. Responding. LGBTQ Aging.” This collaborative event is designed to raise awareness of the needs of the LGBTQ aging population and improve services and supports. Health and services disparities are documented for LGBTQ elders and amplified for elders of color, disability, social class, etc., and this conference is intended to address equity, diversity and inclusivity of the LGBTQ elder community.

Participants must register for the conference to participate. More details and registration at this link.
