The mission and goal of the SEIU Healthcare NW Training Partnership is to offer better training for home care aides (HCAs), and in turn, better support for our aging population and people with disabilities.
One way the Training Partnership strives towards this goal is by providing quality continuing education (CE) classes that help HCAs in maintaining competency in the profession and provides the tools and knowledge to reach the highest standards of practice.
The Training Partnership believes that CE classes are a vital component to the work of HCAs. CE classes assist you in expanding your knowledge base in order to give quality care, while also helping you grow in your professional skills.
To ensure that HCAs have the most up-to-date and relevant CE courses available, the
Training Partnership offers a variety of evidence-based CE classes at approximately 150 sites across Washington state. In Training Partnership CE classes you can learn tasty new ways to tempt your consumers in the kitchen while keeping them healthy; separate fact from myth in conditions like diabetes and HIV/AIDS; and exercise with your bed-bound consumer.
In addition to instructor-led CE classes the Training Partnership also provides online CE classes, which permits you to take class wherever and whenever convenient for you. Some online CE topics include Dispelling Disability Myths, Multiple Sclerosis, and Traumatic Brain Injury.
From medical facts to new activities for you, there is a world of learning available so login now to get started!
