The SEIU Healthcare NW Training Partnership's Advanced Home Care Aide Apprenticeship program is featured on the U.S. Department of Labor's website as an example of the potential for apprenticeships: "Ensuring we have enough quality home care aides...will continue to be a challenge that we must confront as a society. Each day, 8,000 people in America turn 65, and Washington state alone will need to train approximately 440,000 home care workers by 2030 to meet this growing demand."

Training Partnership recognized by White House for expansion of Home Care Aide apprenticeship program

The SEIU Healthcare NW Training Partnership, the largest home care worker training provider in the country, was recognized by the White House on Wednesday for the expansion of its unique apprenticeship program. The program, which is designed to meet the career pathway needs of Washington state’s 43,000 Home Care Aides, works to fill the workforce need in home care, the fastest growing occupation in the country.
